Aurora Energy Otago Science and Technology Fair 2026. A showcase of original student science and technology projects from across Otago. 10am–5pm, Tūhura Otago Museum.

Otago Farmers Market. Fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, eggs, baked goods, milk, cheese, nuts, honey and artisan products + freshly roasted coffee and delicious breakfast and lunch items. 8am–12:30pm, Dunedin Railway Station.

Fabric-a-brac 2026. Fabric and sewing market. Free entry. 10am–1pm, Port Chalmers Town Hall.

Makeshift: Sustainability Festival 2026 - DIY Merch Gig. BYO clothing and other items made of fabric (cotton, non-textured) and bring home your own merch with the designs of local bands VD, U-No Juno, Splinter and STRAP. 3–9pm, Yours.

Aurora Energy Otago Science and Technology Fair 2026. A showcase of original student science and technology projects from across Otago. 10am–5pm, Tūhura Otago Museum.

Freestyle Sewing. 6-week, all-levels course is designed to support you through every stage of your project – from choosing the right pattern and achieving the perfect fit to final construction. Starts 16 August. 1–3pm, Stitch Kitchen.

Top Dog Film Festival. 2–4:45pm, Rialto Cinemas.

Albatross Wildlife Cruise. See the Northern Royal Albatross chicks learning to fly! 4–5:30pm, Port Chalmers or Portobello departures. (every sun until end Sept)

Dunedin Observatory Open Night. Guided telescope viewing of planets, nebulae, star clusters, and distant galaxies. Every Sunday between April–September. 7–9pm, Dunedin Observatory, 1a City Road.
