  • Macbeth. A bold and bloody re-telling of Macbeth marks the start of the Royal New Zealand Ballet’s 2026 season. 7:30pm, Regent Theatre. 

Saturday 14 March

Otago Farmers Market. Fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, eggs, baked goods, milk, cheese, nuts, honey and artisan products + freshly roasted coffee and delicious breakfast and lunch items. 8am–12:30pm, Dunedin Railway Station.

South Dunedin Street Festival. Performances, art, fun activities, food and market stalls. 9am-5pm, South Dunedin.

Composting Made Easy Digging Deeper. Take your composting know-how to the next level. Saturday 14 and 21 March, 1–5pm, Macandrew Bay (must attend both workshops, registration required). 

3 Peaks Mountain Race. Test your running and walking limits with a choice of four challenging events.

Urban Cocktail Trail. Grab your mates and explore a handpicked selection of Ōtepoti Dunedin's best bars on the self-guided Urban Cocktail Trail! 1–5pm.
